Managing Director and Principal

Vivian Rabin

Vivian has over twenty years of diverse business experience, including increasing leadership roles in finance, recruiting and human resources, in the financial services and consulting industries. Prior to founding VSR Advisors, Vivian was Director of Recruitment and HR for The Advisory Board Company, a publishing and consulting concern in Washington, DC. At the Advisory Board, she initiated an MBA recruitment program, established an HR infrastructure, recruited several senior executives and provided senior management training.

In founding her own executive search firm, Vivian decided to focus on commercial real estate, because she believed the industry was underserved by traditional recruiters and would respond to a more cost-effective approach. She also believed the analytical skillset she developed in her earlier career in finance would enable her to properly vet industry candidates.

In addition to founding and building VSR Advisors, Vivian is the co-author of the acclaimed career reentry strategy book Back on the Career Track: A Guide for Stay-at-Home Moms Who Want to Return to Work (Hachette/Grand Central), and the co-founder of career reentry programming company iRelaunch (www.iRelaunch.com). Based on her experience and contacts working with high caliber women at iRelaunch, Vivian can offer clients of VSR Advisors additional depth in recruiting female talent and in developing strategies to recruit female talent, in the commercial real estate and financial services industries.

Vivian began her career in finance at Lehman Brothers in the media and entertainment group of corporate finance and then became CFO of a privately-held broadcasting company in suburban Virginia. She holds a BA and an MBA from Harvard University.
